Lucy in the Sky is an established international direct-to-consumer fashion brand specializing in women's occasionwear, party dresses and event dressing.
We are expanding our manufacturing network in Vietnam through our local product-development and production operation, Tourane Apparel. We are looking for an experienced Garment Quality Control Inspector based in Ho Chi Minh City to help establish reliable quality standards across our partner factories in Southern Vietnam.
The Role
You will work closely with our Senior Production Merchandiser, product-development team and factory partners to ensure that garments meet approved specifications, measurements, construction standards and appearance requirements.
Our products include fitted mini and maxi dresses made from satin, stretch fabrics, chiffon, lace, sequins and other fashion materials. Many styles include lining, boning, gathering, draping, invisible zippers and detailed construction. Strong experience with similar women's fashion products is therefore essential.
This is a practical, factory-facing position. You must be comfortable identifying problems directly, requiring corrective action and following issues through until they are properly resolved.
Key Responsibilities
Review approved samples, tech packs, measurement specifications and construction requirements before production begins.
Conduct pre-production, initial-production, inline and final inspections at partner factories.
Check measurements, fit, workmanship, stitching, construction, fabric quality, colour, trims and overall garment appearance.
Identify defects and production risks at an early stage, before they affect the full order.
Verify that factories follow approved samples and technical requirements.
Prepare clear inspection reports supported by measurements and photographs.
Communicate defects and corrective actions directly to factory management and production teams.
Follow up to confirm that required corrections have been completed.
Inspect finished orders before shipment and provide a clear pass, corrective action, or rejection recommendation.
Work with the Senior Production Merchandiser to improve factory quality systems and prevent recurring problems.
Visit factories regularly in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding manufacturing areas.
Escalate serious quality, timing or compliance concerns promptly.
