Senior iOS Engineer

Our Tech stack:

• Our core services consist hundreds of Golang microservices built around domain oriented, event driven architecture. All run on GCP, GKE, Istio with autoscaling, resiliency and chaos engineering mindset with full end to end observability.
• Our mobile platform was running on Flutter, component based, composable architecture. Web app largely on TypeScript, React, NextJS, Tailwind CSS and composable in-house design components and framework.
• Gitlab for all code repository, CI/CD, with Backstage as centralized developer productivity platform.
• DevOps culture, you are fully responsible with design, build, and operate your own services with support from SRE, Platform team as needed

Responsibilities:

• Write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
• More senior engineers will act as a role model and mentor to more junior members.
• Build re-usable iOS & re-usable Mobile software components for the Be Group platform.
• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively across cross functional teams in a global environment.
• software components for the Be platform.
• Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) as well as other automated and manual testing to make sure our app releases cycles.
• You will monitor the performance of the live apps and continuously improve them on both code and experience level.
• Design, build and improve the mobile experiences for one of the world's fastest growing mobile apps in ride-hailing, delivery, food, and payments.

Requirements:

• At least 5+ years of experience in iOS & Flutter development
• Fluent in Swift programming language.
• An ability to develop for either major platforms, using cross-platform tools like Flutter, and be experienced with Dart programming language.
• Understanding of programming paradigms such as OOP, TDD, reactive programming and dependency injection.
• Experience in writing maintainable and testable code, including API design, unit testing and UI testing techniques.
• You have strong knowledge of Views, ViewControllers, storyboards, life cycle of UIView, HTTP frameworks, delegates vs notifications, blocks vs closures, caching and local storage.
• A good overall understanding of the modern mobile development landscape and different programming paradigms (e.g. unit and e2e testing, CI/CD, object-oriented and functional programming, UX, analytics, REST/GraphQL APIs)
• Experience in maintaining applications with a high user base via crash analytics, remote debugging and continuous integration.
• Highly accountable and takes ownership of one's own work.
• Working experience with popular third party libraries for networking, async, image loading etc.
• Knowledge of app architecture, and state management.
• Familiarity with Scrum & Agile.
