The Job
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer eager to take on new challenges and make a real impact. Join one of the most dynamic and large-scale payment projects in the industry, where you'll enhance your Java expertise and gain deep exposure to the payments domain. From day one, you'll contribute meaningfully while working alongside domain experts and adopting industry best practices.
As a Senior Java Developer at Endava, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software solutions in an Agile Scrum environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and the client to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices with cloud integration.
- Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing
- Promote clean code principles (e.g., SOLID, GoF, MVVM) and suggest improvements.
- Mentor junior developers and review team deliverables.
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and architecture.
- Stay current with new technologies and engage in tech communities.
Your Skills and Experience
Technical Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in Java Back-end development.
- Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experienced with design and architectural patterns (e.g., SOLID, GoF, MVVM).
- Familiarity with modern architectural styles (microservices, cloud-based, micro-kernel) and quality attributes.
- Practical experience in databases: SQL, Oracle, MS SQL, and ORM tools.
- Experienced with modern CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experienced with Agile & Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration.
Soft Skills:
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Experienced in coaching and mentoring junior team members.
