As a Senior Data Engineer at GFT, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and enhancing data systems and workflows that drive key business decisions.
The role focuses on expanding and maintaining scalable data pipelines and models that support analytics, data science, and ML workflows - enabling self-service analytics and data-driven decision-making.
You will leverage technologies such as Python, Airflow, dbt, and AWS to build and optimize data architectures and pipelines.
This position is hands-on and suited for an engineer who thrives on delivering business value, owning end-to-end implementation, operation, and success of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure, including data lakes, pipelines, and metadata repositories, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
Expand data coverage by ingesting new data sources and building reliable, automated pipelines using Apache Airflow and dbt.
Partner with data scientists and analysts to build and support data models, integrate data sources, and support ML workflows and experimentation environments.
Design and optimize batch and real-time data processing systems, improving efficiency and scalability.
Ensure operational excellence: monitor pipelines, debug issues, maintain data quality SLAs.
Leverage AWS services such as S3, Glue, EC2, Lambda to manage data storage and compute resources.
Implement testing and validation to ensure reliability, accuracy, and security of data processes.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product teams to understand source systems and ensure seamless data extraction.
Identify opportunities to improve and refactor ingestion and transformation logic for better performance.

Salary band per level are reviewed once per year
13th month salary pro rata depending on the employee's length of service (within a calender year), paid with the December salary
