Purpose of position:
The Senior Sales Specialist - Printing & Packaging is responsible for building and growing Melchers Vietnam's direct B2C sales of printing and packaging consumables (offset/flexo chemicals, blankets, ink, spare parts, printer cleaning agents, and other related materials) across Northern Vietnam. This is the primary focus of the role: developing direct end-user business from the current and new customers, growing it toward the volume target, and positioning Melchers as a direct solution provider to printing and packaging end-users.
In addition, the incumbent supports the established distributor business in the North by stepping in on local order fulfillment and coordination when required.
Based in Hanoi with regular travel across the North, this role is focused on:
• Identifying and converting new prospects into loyal clients.
• Managing and expanding the current company customer portfolio.
• Driving direct-sales revenue while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- B2C
Business Development (primary focus): Build and grow direct B2C sales to printing and packaging end-users across the North as the core focus of the role, leveraging the existing customer database and find new customers; develop and convert a structured sales pipeline; and grow direct revenue toward the level already achieved in Southern Vietnam.
- Distributor & Channel Support: Support the established distributor business in the North by stepping in on local order fulfillment and delivery issues, maintaining day-to-day partner contact, and acting as the local point of contact when required.
- Product & Solution Selling: Promote and sell printing consumables such as chemicals, blankets, ink, spare parts, printer cleaning agents, and other related materials, providing technical and application advice to customers (offset/flexo printers, packaging suppliers, converters in paper, metal printing....)
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to understand customer requirements, market trends, and competitors' activities, and track distributor and end-customer demand to inform the B2C build-up.
- Commercial Execution & After-Sales: Present and follow up on the quotations provided by the Company to customers, support contract closing, and coordinate order processing, delivery, after-sales service, and payment follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction.
- CRM & Reporting: Record and maintain all customers, contacts, activities and sales-pipeline data in the Company CRM (Pipedrive), which serves as the single source of truth for the sales function; prepare periodic sales reports and share pipeline updates and market insights with the
Sales Manager.
