Analyzes hotel training needs and presenting Training Business Plan to his/her DHR for the latter's or joint recommendation to the General Manager and Executive Committee for review.
Organizes training & development activities by following the company standards and requirement.
Monitors the implementation of departmental training plan to ensure training objectives are being achieved.
Delivers overview of all company programs to his/her DHR for initial review and to executive management and department heads.
Develops new training programs which meet specific hotel training needs, ensures the programs are structured and integrated.
Uses company benchmarks, e.g. Employee Satisfaction Survey, Guest Satisfaction Survey, to monitor the success of training programs and makes amendment accordingly.
Monitors Department Heads to take their responsibilities of training employees.
Assists Department Trainers in preparing and conducting departmental training and assesses the effectiveness.
Produces monthly training report for Human Recourses Director and General Manager.
Prepares training plan for interns and monitors the implementation.
Establishes Training Library with books, videos, journals and audio-visual materials to assist trainers with visual aids and for personal development of employees.
Liaises with Training & Development Managers of sister hotels to share resources and best practices.
Liaises with educational institutions for outsourced training courses.
Obtains a network of training specialists who can assist in conducting advanced or specialized training programs.
Offers support to employees' career development through relevant training & development activities and monitors department heads to take necessary actions at appropriate time.
Coaches, counsels and disciplines employees, provides constructive feedback to enhance employees' performance.
Works with Human Resources Director on the preparation of Training Department Budget.
Works with Human Resources Director on the preparation of hotel training budget.
Assists in monitoring and controlling departmental training cost to ensure performance against budget.
To plan, co-ordinate and administer the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) in accordance to the allocated financial year's training & development budget.
Yêu cầu
A Bachelor level university/college degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred
In-house or external certification in various training programs preferably in service, supervisory, management and leadership programs.
More than 3 years' experience in managing Training and Development function in 5-star hotels, and a pre-opening experience is an advantage.
More than 1-year experience in front of line departments is preferred.
