Technical Lead (Node.Js)

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead who owns the technical direction of complex, large-scale systems end to end. This is not a UI-focused role and not a Solution Architect role - we need someone who can stand back and explain a system's overall architecture clearly, then drill down into any layer with real depth, while remaining strongly hands-on in backend development ([protected info]) and capable across the frontend. You will lead and mentor a delivery team, be accountable for technical quality, and work directly with regional and client-side stakeholders
Key Deliverables & Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end technical design and architecture of assigned systems - able to articulate the overall architecture (components, request/data flow, integrations, where data lives) and justify the trade-offs behind it.
Drive hands-on development with a primary focus on backend services in [protected info], plus meaningful contribution on the frontend (React/[protected info]).
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers: assign work, review code, set standards, and grow the team's technical capability.
Translate client and business requirements into robust technical solutions, and clearly explain technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Take ownership of non-functional requirements - performance, scalability, reliability, security - and identify where a system will break first under load.
Collaborate with cross-functional and regional teams (e.g. product, QA, and other engineering squads across markets) and with infrastructure teams on deployment.
Uphold engineering best practices: code quality, testing, CI/CD discipline, and technical documentation.
