As the Technical
Sales Manager, you will serve as the cornerstone of our team, responsible for the day-to-day management of departmental operations, overseeing ongoing bids, and leading the process of calculating final bid prices. This role demands an individual a fairly advanced and diversified technical aptitude to understand the different files/projects received and support the sales representatives on the technical part of the projects. You must also have a good understanding of the costs of parts as well as the sales aspect with our customers to adapt the appropriate strategy to convert as many quotes as possible into orders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support for Sales Representatives:
Provide comprehensive technical support to sales representatives regarding new requests and projects.
Assist in addressing technical aspects of projects, ensuring client requirements are fully understood and met.
2. Client Communication for Complex Projects:
Engage directly with clients to facilitate communication on intricate technical matters related to projects.
Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs and propose appropriate solutions.
3. Analysis of Project Viability:
Evaluate the feasibility and viability of projects.
Conduct thorough technical analysis to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
4. Confirmation of Request Information:
Verify the completeness and accuracy of all necessary information required for processing requests effectively.
Ensure that technical specifications and requirements are clearly defined.
5. Supplier Selection and Pricing:
Analyze project requirements, select suitable suppliers, and establish competitive selling prices to prepare final quotations.
6. Monitoring Project Progress:
Track the progress of requests and projects to ensure adherence to predefined objectives and timelines.
Address any technical issues or obstacles that may arise during project execution.
7. Support for Sales Technicians:
Provide guidance and assistance to sales technicians in their daily tasks and technical inquiries.
Foster a collaborative team environment to optimize performance and productivity.
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or a related field.
Diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, aerospace engineering, industrial design, or equivalent technical discipline.
Understanding technical drawings.
Knowledge of the machining products industry or mechanical manufacturing processes is advantageous.
Strong proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Comprehensive understanding of cost estimation, price calculation, and sales management principles.
