Technical Service Engineer

Job Title: Technical Service Engineer
Location: Hanoi
Working time: Monday- Friday
Our client, a Singapore based company, global supplier of specialty chemicals, is looking for Technical Service Engineer. This role will be responsible for chemical business in the regions, focusing on support of electrochemical plating chemicals and surface treatments primarily for electronics applications such as Connectors and Semiconductor packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Consultation and Support:
· Develop a deep understanding of the Technic product line and how to apply it in the field to meet customer expectations
· Provide technical consultation and support to customers, answering their questions and resolving technical issues, and escalate complex issues to the Singapore laboratory
· Assist customers with product qualif ication, implementation, and optimization.
· Clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Visit customer production facilities to monitor production issues and give on-site process improvement advice.
· Perform hands-on installation, setup and commissioning of plating, solder mask and related process equipment at customer sites
Project management and Coordination:
· Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., SG Lab, Supply Chain, Operations) to ensure timely and effective resolution of client issues.
· Manage customer projects, including def ining project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
· Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of client interactions, issues, and resolutions.
· Prepare regular reports on client activity, performance, and satisfaction.
· Document technical solutions and best practices for internal and external use.
· Communicate actively with the technical team in Singapore to conduct customer tests and resolve issues
· Prepare technical service reports for equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and process improvement activities
Sales and Business Development
· Interface closely with the Sales team to provide market intelligence about our customers and applications
· Help to keep track of customer inventory and demand, and communicate our supply chain status to customers when required.
· Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for new and existing clients.
· Keep up to date on industry trends and competitive landscape.
Requirements
· BSc in Chemistry / B. Sc in Chem. Engineering or equivalent\
· A minimum of 3-5 years' technical service experience in the Chemical Industry
· Products and process knowledge in PCB or other metal plating applications. Experience with Liquid
· Coverlay/Soldermask products and application is a plus.
· Familiarity with chemical process analysis and performance monitoring techniques.
· Experience with analytical equipment such as SEM-EDX, GC-MS, ICP-MS, Liquid Particle Counter, Karl Fisher and XRF
· Mandarin speaking ability is advantage
· Traveling ability to support customers across Vietnam and Thailand
