Mô tả công việc
• Design progressive, transfer, and line dies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, CATIA).
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of stamping dies, tool components, and assemblies.
• Analyze part feasibility for stamping processes and provide feedback on manufacturability. (DFM)
• Collaborate with product design engineers to ensure tooling accommodates product tolerances and specifications.
• Perform strip layout design and process planning to determine the most efficient stamping process.
• Specify materials, heat treatments, and surface finishes for tool components.
• Conduct design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
• Support tool tryouts, troubleshooting, and validation at tool shops or production sites.
• Modify existing tooling designs to improve efficiency or resolve quality issues.
• Maintain design documentation and change records in accordance with company standards.
Yêu cầu
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Technology, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in stamping die design (progressive, transfer, or line dies preferred).
• Proficient in CAD software; experience with solid modeling and drafting standards.
• Strong understanding of stamping processes, materials, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of tool steel selection, heat treatment, and wear resistance principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Able to be station at Kulim, Malaysia.
