Job Summary: Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees Brenntag's overall warehousing operations, ensuring attainment of the department's performance objectives; develops strategic warehousing programs to help achieve corporate goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organizes and manages warehousing operations in all Brenntag warehouses e.g. receiving of shipments, physical management of inventory, and dispatching of orders and delivery to customers.
Ensures that the delivery fleet (in-house and/or by service providers), addresses the company's requirements for safety, health, and environmental protection, efficiency, and customer specified conditions.
Prepares and/or ensures the submission of all periodic warehouse and logistics operations reports e.g. KPI's, shipment receipts, inventory status, customer deliveries, costing/charging and other reports.
Maintains an efficient system of receiving, storing and delivery by ensuring:
4.1. Regular maintenance of equipment, devices and facilities, including IT systems (hardware and software) by qualified organizations.
4.2. Observance of standard operating procedures as described in ISO documents by all warehouse personnel.
4.3. Acquisition of new or replacement of old/inefficient resources to complement existing facilities and further improve efficiencies.
4.5. Close coordination with Customer Service at the LPN office on matters relating to incoming shipments, customer deliveries, and/or any special project.
5. Ensures the Warehouses' consistent compliance to requirements stipulated in government-issued permits and certificates; responsible for addressing the needs and requirements of the assessors/surveillance team/inspectors and auditing customer teams who may inspect the warehouse facilities.
6. Ensures efficient and effective performance of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) coordinating immediately and directly with the service provider or with the company's designated personnel/team to resolve issues related to WMS.
7. Oversees the implementation of the Safety Health and Environment standards at the warehouses and with the service providers (brokers, truckers, others); ensures that required reports are consistently and timely submitted.
8. Supports the Customer Service, Supply Chain, and/or Sales teams in resolving supplier claims or customer complaints.
9. Develops strategies to make warehousing and logistics truly become a profit center while servicing the business units.
10. Continuously seeks for ways to improve the marketability of the warehouse as a major element of Brenntag's value proposition to suppliers and customers.
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
