The Business Process Specialist within Global Supply Chain Planning is responsible for optimizing, standardizing, and continuously improving end-to-end supply chain planning processes across forecasting, supply planning, and inventory planning. This role will drive process governance, SOP documentation, cross-functional alignment, and performance improvement initiatives that strengthen forecast quality, supply response, inventory health, and decision-making across the supply chain network.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. End-to-End Supply Chain Process Improvement Leadership:
• Take ownership of creating, documenting, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory planning, and related system processes.
• Identify critical supply chain planning processes in need of improvement, including new product forecasting, promotional lift integration, consensus demand planning, supply response, inventory positioning, replenishment logic, and S&OP/IBP cycle inputs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing forecast accuracy, supply alignment, inventory availability, data quality, process efficiency, and planning methodology. Ensure SOPs are updated as necessary upon project completion.
• Execute change management practices to drive process changes and implementations across forecasting, supply planning, inventory planning, and key stakeholder groups.
• Track and communicate results of process improvement projects to management, including impact on forecasting, supply, inventory, service, and planning performance indicators (KPIs).
2. Supply Chain Planning Project Management:
• Scope and manage complex projects related to planning system enhancements, forecasting model improvements, supply planning processes, inventory planning logic, data integration, and cross-functional planning alignment initiatives.
• Design detailed project plans, develop testing plans for new processes or system functionalities, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
• Work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Logistics, IT) to drive project success for end-to-end supply chain planning improvements.
3. Supply Chain Planning Training and Development:
• Provide comprehensive training on supply chain planning SOPs, forecasting and supply planning methodologies, inventory planning processes, system usage, and best practices for all relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure forecasting, supply planning, inventory, sales, marketing, finance, operations, and supply chain partners understand their roles, inputs, handoffs, and decision points within the end-to-end planning process.
• Develop clear and concise training materials to supplement the SOPs when necessary.
4. Supply Chain Planning Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders at all levels who are critical to the end-to-end planning process (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Logistics, IT) to drive effective collaboration and consensus decision-making.
• Coordinate with department managers to escalate forecast deviations, supply constraints, inventory risks, capacity concerns, significant market intelligence impacts, or business changes that directly affect demand, supply, and inventory plans.
• Facilitate discussions to align on key planning assumptions, supply actions, inventory strategies, and strategic initiatives affecting demand, supply, and inventory outcomes.
5. Supply Chain Planning Performance Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyze and report out on overall planning performance, including forecast accuracy/bias/stability, supply alignment, inventory health, service-level performance, and the impact of key demand and supply drivers.
• Prepare presentations and status updates on forecast health, supply plan alignment, inventory risk/opportunity, process improvement progress, and market or operational insights.
• Enable data-driven decision-making throughout the organization by providing clear and actionable insights from forecasting, supply, and inventory planning data.
Yêu cầu
1. Education
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field (required)
• Master's degree in supply chain, operations, business analytics, or data science (preferred)
2. Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business process improvement, demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, inventory planning, supply chain analysis, or S&OP/IBP role within a manufacturing, retail, or consumer goods environment
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and optimizing complex business processes across planning, forecasting, supply, inventory, or broader supply chain contexts
• Successfully driving continuous improvement processes and cross-functional change management in previous positions
3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
3.1. Technical Skill
• Solid understanding of SQL for data querying and analysis
• Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis, data modeling, or process automation
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools for creating insightful dashboards, planning scorecards, and supply chain performance reports
• Familiarity with planning software or modules supporting demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory planning, replenishment, or S&OP/IBP processes
• Understanding of statistical forecasting methods, supply planning principles, inventory management concepts, and their application in supply chain decision-making
3.2. Soft skills
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and data accuracy. Ability to translate complex forecasting, supply, and inventory data into actionable insights
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for collaborating with diverse, cross-functional, and international teams. Ability to present complex planning and supply chain information clearly and concisely
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships, facilitate alignment, and influence stakeholders across forecasting, supply, inventory, finance, operations, and IT
• Highly organized and adept at managing multiple planning/process improvement projects simultaneously with competing deadlines
• Self-motivated, proactive, and demonstrates strong ownership over assigned responsibilities and end-to-end supply chain process outcomes
• Quick learner with a demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts, systems, and processes across forecasting, supply planning, inventory planning, and broader supply chain operations rapidly
