* Job Purpose
This hybrid position is designed to optimize operational costs for a manufacturing facility of 100 - 200 employees. The successful candidate will be equally responsible for ensuring the factory complies with Vietnamese Labor Laws and international standards (SMETA, GRS), while simultaneously managing product costing, raw material consumption analysis, and manufacturing budget optimization.
* Key Responsibilities
1. CSR & Social Compliance Management (50% of Total Workload)
• Legal Compliance: Monitor, update, and implement regulations regarding the Vietnam Labor Code, Occupational Health and Safety (OSH), and environmental protection requirements.
• SMETA & GRS Audits: Maintain and control the complete documentation system to successfully fulfill
• SMETA (4-Pillars) and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) audit criteria.
• Audit Preparation & Representation: Prepare factory workflow, host external third-party audit teams, and act as the key liaison during assessments.
• Corrective Action Plans (CAPA): Formulate, implement, and track Corrective and Preventive Action plans following any internal or customer-driven audits.
• Internal Training: Coordinate and conduct periodic training sessions for laborers concerning safety procedures, corporate social responsibility policies, and GRS material traceability tracking
2. Product Costing & Finance Support (50% of Total Workload)
• BOM & Cost Calculation: Collaborate with Production,
Purchasing, and Technical teams to establish accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), material wastage factors, and direct labor costs.
• Standard vs Actual Costing: Compute standard product costs for upcoming orders and analyze actual manufacturing costs upon order completion.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze differences between actual costs and estimated budgets, pinpointing areas of material waste, excess overhead, or labor inefficiency.
• GRS Cost Optimization: Evaluate and audit the specific consumption and cost efficiency of recycled materials utilized under GRS product lines.
• Quotation Support: Partner with Merchandising and Sales teams to provide precise cost inputs for proactive client pricing and quotation sheets.
• Management Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly gross margin analysis reports broken down by product category.
• Education: College or University degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or related branches.
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Factory Product Costing within a manufacturing setting and preferred experience of Social Compliance/ Auditing with a strong willingness to learn and master the parallel function.
• Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Vietnam Labor Laws; previous direct experience with SMETA, GRS, or RCS frameworks is highly advantageous.
- Strong numerical competency, exceptional mastery of Microsoft Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, data modeling).
• Skills & Attributes: Highly organized with the ability to switch between system-driven compliance tasks and detail-oriented financial numbers; high integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive analytical mindset.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of English (both written and spoken) is required to handle audit reports, client standards, and global corporate communications.
* Working Conditions
1. Environment
• Typically located in an office setting, however, some duties will occur in factory and warehouse setting.
2. Essential physical requirements
• Must be able to walk the production floor, including prolonged periods of standing on the production floor.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 10kg at times.
