Synopsis Of Duties
EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities across project operations, ensuring compliance with Vietnamese regulations, client requirements, and international standards.
This role oversees the implementation of EHS management systems, drives a strong safety culture, and ensures safe execution of construction activities at project sites.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
EHS Management System Implementation
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and client-specific EHS requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for workplace safety and environmental performance
Site Safety & Risk Management
• Lead site EHS activities and ensure all construction works are performed safely
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement effective control measures
• Monitor high-risk activities and ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures
• Ensure emergency response and preparedness plans are properly implemented at site
Compliance & Client Coordination
• Ensure compliance with all local EHS regulations, project requirements, and client standards
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities on EHS matters
• Support audits, inspections, and client EHS reviews
Incident Investigation & Corrective Actions
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes
• Develop and monitor corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
• Prepare and submit incident reports and EHS performance reports to management and clients
Training & Safety Culture
• Develop and conduct EHS training programs, toolbox meetings, and awareness campaigns
• Promote a proactive safety culture among employees, subcontractors, and site personnel
• Coach and mentor site EHS staff and supervisors
Monitoring, Inspection & Reporting
• Conduct regular site inspections and EHS audits to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities
• Monitor environmental controls, waste management, and occupational health practices
• Maintain accurate EHS documentation, records, and statistics
• Prepare weekly and monthly EHS reports for management review
Yêu cầu
Qualifications & Job Requirements
• Master degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Civil/Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS within the construction industry, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, occupational health standards, and environmental laws.
• Experience in implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems is an advantage.
• NEBOSH certificate is advantage.
• Proficiency in English for communication and technical documentation reading.
