Responsible for defining, developing, and managing products and digital capabilities throughout the product lifecycle. Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, customers, operations, underwriting, claims, actuarial, compliance, and technology teams, the Product Owner ensures that products deliver customer value, achieve business objectives, and comply with regulatory requirements.
The role owns the product vision, roadmap, backlog prioritization, and successful delivery of enhancements and new insurance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company objectives.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Analyze competitor products and emerging innovations.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives related to insurance products and customer journeys.
Product Development & Management
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of products from concept to launch and enhancement.
- Gather and prioritize business requirements from stakeholders.
- Create and maintain a product backlog and define product priorities.
- Develop business cases for new products, features, and process improvements.
- Ensure products meet profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction targets.
Agile Product Ownership
- Serve as Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and business requirements.
- Prioritize backlog items based on business value and strategic goals.
- Participate in sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Accept completed work and ensure deliverables meet business expectations.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with other departments
- Facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders.
- Present product updates and recommendations to senior management.
Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure products comply with regulations and internal policies.
- Work with legal and compliance teams during product design and implementation.
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on existing products.
Customer Experience & Analytics
- Leverage customer insights, market research, and data analytics to improve products.
- Monitor customer feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
- Track product KPIs, customer adoption, retention, and profitability metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement of customer journeys across digital channels.
Product Launch & Go-to-Market Support
- Coordinate product launches with marketing, operations, and distribution teams.
- Develop product documentation and training materials.
- Support sales teams with product knowledge and competitive positioning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in: Technology, Finance, Business Administration...
- At least 5 years of experience in: product management, Product ownership, Business Analysis...
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong understanding of Banking, Finance, Insurance products and processes.
