Junior Infrastructure AI Engineer

We're hiring a junior engineer to help support our production infrastructure and grow into our AI/ML intelligence layer. You don't need to know everything on this list - we're looking for strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from senior engineers on the harder items.

What You'll Do:

• Support day-to-day deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of our production systems (servers, containers, databases, APIs)
• Help deploy and maintain web apps ([protected info] backends, React dashboards) behind Nginx with proper HTTPS/DNS setup
• Assist with database operations - queries, backups, and restores
• Grow into our AI/ML team: help build and monitor models for solar performance forecasting and anomaly detection, and support our LLM/AI agent tooling

Must-haves - Infrastructure:

• Comfortable with basic Linux command line (navigation, permissions, logs, processes)
• Understands Docker & Docker Compose - can build/run containers and read a Compose file
• Basic SQL and an understanding of what backup/restore means
• Has deployed a simple app before (school/personal projects count) and understands DNS, HTTPS, and firewall basics conceptually

Must-haves - AI/ML:

• Solid Python fundamentals
• Understands core ML concepts (train/test split, overfitting) and has touched PyTorch
• Genuine interest in forecasting, time-series, or LLM-based applications
• Comfortable calling and working with REST APIs

Nice to have :

• Windows Server, Nginx/reverse proxy, SSL setup, MQTT, server monitoring tools (Grafana/Prometheus)
• XGBoost/LightGBM, local LLM tools (Ollama), RAG/vector databases, LangChain/LangGraph, AI agents
