We are seeking motivated Lead Java Engineers who are passionate, results focused to take accountability for the delivery of Microservices that will be used by banking front end applications.
You will be part of our delivery team and will be responsible for providing technical leadership throughout all phases of the software delivery life cycle as we initiate a transformation of technology.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Provide hands-on leadership to the design, development, and deployment of technical solutions.
2.Collaborate with other technology leaders towards improving and fulfilling the technical direction.
3.Evangelizing and promoting Java best practices.
4.Lead and conduct training to empower engineers on sufficient programming skills.
5.Design, develop, review, implement, and manage Java application code and services for the production and pre-release environments.
6.Participate in Agile software development, prototyping, and code review with international development teams to build scalable microservices-based products and APIs using Java technologies on AWS cloud architecture.
7.Work with delivery teams to achieve success through development using CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and toolings;
8.Provide robust coding practices, solid unit/component test coverage, and debugging code.
Must have
1.Experience as a Lead Java designer/developer in a complex, enterprise-level development environment.
2.Experience with distributed, event-driven systems and using messaging protocols. Messaging middleware such as IBM MQ, Apache Kafka preferred.
3.Build and automation tools (Ant, Gradle (Kotlin DSL/Groovy), Jenkins, Python/Jython, Artifactory, Terraform, SonarQube).
4.Experience with the following also strongly preferred: Java 8+, J2EE, MDB[DLP(7] , Spring Boot, RDBMS (ideally Postgres, MySQL), Webservices (REST/SOAP), Apache Camel, Docker, SCM (Git), BDD (JBehave/Cucumber), & Unit Testing (Junit, Mockito, JMockit).
5.Established network and platform (*nix) skills, Cloud hosting (AWS preferred)
6.Experience in the entire application stack; from network, security, through platform OS to application code, including cloud hosting, but an over-riding desire to write code.
7.Well-versed in writing structured, well-documented, maintainable, and clean code;
8.Excellence in problem-solving and analytical skills;
9.Experience in leading and coaching at least one
software engineering team on multiple projects.
10.Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders (both users and
product owners)
