Logistics Manager

WORKING LOCATION:
LC Foods Office, Cityland Park Hills Residential Area, 77 Street No. 8, Go Vap Ward, Ho Chi Minh City
WORKING HOURS:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday; Saturday until 12:00 PM upon completion of assigned work.
1. RESPONSIBILITIES
Ocean booking & equipment: place/manage FCL and reefer bookings through shipping-line portals and approved forwarders; secure equipment; monitor booking confirmation, empty release, pickup, loading, and gate-in.
End-to-end shipment control: manage SI, VGM, cutoffs, vessel schedules, transshipment, BL milestones, tracking and delivery coordination.
Carrier/service-contract execution: monitor allocations, rates, free time, equipment availability, transit time, and service performance; escalate capacity/rate issues to Head of Logistics.
Forwarder / 3PL / 4PL management: compare quotations when required; evaluate total cost and service; coordinate execution; challenge unnecessary charges; maintain alternative providers.
Cost control: verify quoted vs. invoiced charges; monitor ocean freight, trucking, detention, demurrage, storage, and accessorial costs; explain material variances.
Exception management: proactively resolve rollover, no-equipment, cutoff, trucking, port, documentation, customs, and schedule problems. Do not only report problems but also identify options, recommend, and execute.
Factory coordination: supervise/support the Logistics Staff and establish clear booking/escalation procedures.
SOP & reporting: build practical booking/exception SOPs and report shipment status, cost, provider performance, and major risks to the Head of Logistics

REQUIREMENTS
5-8+ years in international logistics/ocean freight/freight forwarding/shipping line/NVOCC/3PL; 3+ years supervisory/managerial preferred.
Hands-on FCL export experience from Vietnam; direct shipping-line and forwarder experience.
Experience negotiating freight rates/service conditions and managing multiple logistics providers.
Food, seafood, agricultural export or reefer experience is a strong advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Maritime/Transportation or related field preferred.
Good written/spoken English; strong Excel and logistics-platform skills.
