JOB OBJECTIVES / AGREEMENT ON OBJECTIVES
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented process engineer who is familiar with cell tap welding (spot welding) and soldering to join our team at RRC power solutions.
As a process engineer, you will analyse and optimise manufacturing and industrial processes to im-prove efficiency and reduce costs. This includes process designing, troubleshooting, process optimi-sation, process analysis, process documentation, quality control, project management, process au-tomation and quality assurance. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement pro-cess improvement initiatives, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Conduct detail analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Support the improvement of cell tab design.
• Prepare work instruction for spot welding/ process specifications.
• Improve the efficiency of spot-welding process.
• Perform welding system inspection and checks.
• Set-up welding procedure specifications (WPS).
• Qualification and requalification of WPS.
• Analysis qualification samples/ material/ visual inspection and electrical conductivity testing/ peel tests/ metallurgical examination/ mettalorgraphic cross-section.
• Implement process verification/ welding verification/ visual inspection.
• Implement training and certification of persionnel (to welding operator/ welding operator qualification/ welding procedure specification/ procedure qualification record).
• Optimize tooling and fixtures.
• Design and implement process optimisation strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time and improve product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality assurance and R&D teams to develop and im-plement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Monitor and analyse process performance metrics, such as cycle time, yield and scrap rate and develop strategies to meet or exceed targets.
• Identify and implement process control measures to ensure consistent quality and reduce pro-cess variation.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis, corrective actions and preven-tive measures.
• Other tasks assigned by superiors.
