Location: Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam
Position Overview:
The position will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing and commercial strategies for the Company's ophthalmic product portfolio, with the objective of driving sustainable business growth in the Vietnamese market.
The role will work closely with the
Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to develop marketing plans, monitor product performance, support sales activities, strengthen brand positioning, and ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and Company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy Development and Execution
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for assigned products to achieve business objectives.
• Conduct market research and analyze market, customer, competitor, and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Monitor product performance and market dynamics and recommend adjustments to marketing activities and strategies when necessary.
• Support the development of product strategies, promotional campaigns, communication materials, and other marketing initiatives.
2. Budget and Target Management
• Support the Marketing Manager in developing annual product targets and marketing budgets.
• Assist the Marketing Manager in allocating targets and budgets to the national sales team.
• Track and manage marketing expenditures against approved budgets to ensure efficient and appropriate resource use.
3. Brand & Product Management
• Strengthen brand positioning and awareness within target customer segments.
• Manage the product's life cycle, including launches, rebranding, and updates according to the request of company.
• Develop and maintain product knowledge, key messages, promotional materials, and sales support tools.
• Ensure all promotional activities and materials comply with local regulations and company policies.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with sales, regulatory, and other teams and departments to align marketing strategies with broader organizational goals.
• Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure product availability and distribution efficiency in nationwide.
• Provide product and marketing support to the sales team, including field communication, campaign implementation, and follow-up on market feedback.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to product development, launches, tenders, market access, or other business priorities when required.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
• Build relationships with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and other stakeholders to promote products.
• Organize training sessions, workshops, scientific meetings and marketing events for internal teams and external audiences.
• Support engagement with key opinion leaders and other healthcare stakeholders in accordance with Company policies and applicable regulations.
6. Performance Tracking and Reporting
• Monitor sales data, market share, and campaign "Return on Investment" to measure the effectiveness.
• Prepare detailed monthly reports for the Marketing Manager on sales results, market trends, challenges, and progress against KPIs.
• Provide timely market intelligence and field insights to support business planning and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and timely reports, activity records, budget tracking, and other documentation as required by the Company.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (mandatory). Additional certifications in Marketing or an MBA will be considered an advantage.
• Experience: 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in marketing, product management, sales, or other commercial functions. Experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or ophthalmology or ophthalmic products is a plus.
• Skills:
o Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
o Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
o Familiarity with Vietnamese healthcare regulations and the pharmaceutical market.
o Good planning, coordination, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions.
o Willingness to travel as per work requirements
• Language:
o Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.
o Certifications in IELTS, TOEIC, or TOEFL will be considered a strong advantage.
