About the role
We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer / DBA to own Katalon's production database environment, with a primary focus on PostgreSQL / AWS Aurora.
You will manage approximately 10 production database clusters hosting customer data on AWS, working closely with our Engineering team in Vietnam on database performance, reliability, architecture, security, and future upgrades.
We are open to strong Oracle DBA profiles with solid cross-database fundamentals and the ability to work with PostgreSQL/Aurora.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain production PostgreSQL / AWS Aurora databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance, availability, locking, concurrency, and query issues.
Perform query tuning, indexing, and database performance optimization.
Design databases and schemas for new customer workloads.
Manage high availability, replication, backup/recovery, and failover.
Monitor database health, capacity, and performance using CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and Enhanced Monitoring.
Manage database users, roles, permissions, and security controls.
Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
Partner closely with Engineering teams on database-related requirements and production incidents.
