Coherent Vietnam, a branch of Coherent Corp., a global leader in engineered materials and optoelectronic components, is a vertically integrated manufacturing company that develops products for applications in the industrial, optical communications, aerospace and defence, life sciences, semiconductor capital equipment and consumer markets.
Coherent Vietnam is planning significant investments in the southern province of Dong Nai. We aim to develop high-tech projects in advanced optics and semiconductor (SiC) manufacturing. This initiative, located in Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park, involves an investment capital of hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars and is set to begin operations by the end of 2024.
Direct, manage, create, and execute the Company's global manufacturing operations including engineering operations. This includes: day to day management of production, ensuring the highest on-time delivery while achieving the lowest cost basis, driving the cost of quality down in the process, using qualified processes, maintaining a trained work force, and providing a capability for new process and product development and introduction in an environmentally and occupationally safe environment while meeting all federal and local government codes, including at international facilities. Long term responsibilities include: facility planning, capital equipment forecasting, technology improvements, raw material planning, work force planning, off-shore manufacturing options, the matching of production assets globally with the marketing and business development plans to achieve the goal top supplier of designated manufacturing sites.
