About TeenCareTeenCare is building an AI-first Parenting Intelligence platform that helps parents better understand and support their children through adolescence.
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Product Engineering team and help build the next generation of AI-powered products.
About the RoleYou will lead the engineering team across Product Engineering and AI, working closely with Product and Leadership to turn product strategy into scalable, reliable, and AI-native products.
This is a hands-on leadership role - you are expected to provide technical direction, make architecture decisions, develop engineers, and stay close to the code when needed.
What You'll Do
Lead and develop the Engineering team across [protected info] and AI Engineering.
Own engineering execution, technical quality, delivery, and system reliability.
Define and evolve technical architecture for scalable product and AI systems.
Work closely with Product to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.
Drive development of AI/LLM-powered features, agents, workflows, personalization, and memory systems.
Establish engineering standards, code quality, testing, documentation, and development processes.
Identify technical risks and make pragmatic build-vs-buy and architecture trade-offs.
Mentor engineers, support career development, and build a strong engineering culture.
Balance speed, quality, scalability, and technical debt in a fast-moving startup environment.
Requirements
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, with 2+ years in Engineering Management / Tech Lead leadership.
Strong experience with [protected info] / backend engineering and modern software architecture.
Experience leading engineering teams and delivering production systems.
Hands-on experience or strong understanding of AI/LLM technologies.
Understanding of AI agents, RAG, LLM APIs, evaluation, or AI application architecture.
Strong system design, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.
Ability to work hands-on when necessary while effectively leading a team.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with Product, Design, and Leadership.
Comfortable working in a high-ownership, fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have
Experience building AI-first or consumer-facing products.
Experience with personalization, recommendation, memory, or behavioral data systems.
Experience scaling products from 0 → 1 and beyond.
Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
