Job Purpose:
To support the team and Superior in coordinating, supporting and monitoring retail and marketing activities, in order to achieve the objectives of :
• Driving sales growth
• Maintaining retail excellence
• Driving retail staff performance and productivity
• Promoting the brand Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Sales and Profit Maximization To maximize sales and assist and motivate the team to achieve sales targets as agreed with the management. To monitor sales performance of the shops targets against targets. To recommend programmes to the management which will help increase profitable sales. To investigate causes of any shortfall against targets and seek solutions to the problem. To minimize variable costs incurred at the shop floor and recommend suggestions to the management which will help the company improve its bottom line
2. Retail performance analysis Ensure that the Retail team is consistently updated on a regular basis, on the team's sales performance and productivity, via a series of KPIs reports. Assist the Shop Managers and superior in responding to diverse business situations by producing analysis and assessments to provide a basis for decision-making. The ultimate goal is to ensure the Retail team achieves their sales targets.
3. Cost management Responsible for administration of, controlling, monitoring, analyzing and checking retail costs, from rentals and utilities to various staff costs, such as OT and claims.
4. Standards Enforcement To ensure that Shop Managers and their staff operate the shops according to standard company procedures and practices. To highlight operational issues and provide recommendations to the management to help the company improve the efficiency of its retail operations. Ensure that SOPs are documented and constantly updated in the Retail Operations Manual, as well as communicated to all stores.
5. Shop Maintenance To ensure that all fixtures and fittings are maintained to be fully operational and safe. To report serious maintenance problems to management for rectification. To enforce the highest standards of shop presentation and ambience which includes cleanliness, tidiness, good lightings, the right type of music etc.
6. Merchandising To ensure that shop layout, in-store merchandising and window displays are consistent with agreed standards and guidelines in a timely manner.
7. Inventory Management To co-ordinate and maintain a balanced level of stocks that are proportionate to sales and that shops are stocked at the optimum level, that will meet customer demand. This includes managing stocktakes, stock transfers, analyzing inventory in the system, identifying any out-of-stock situations, stock ordering, etc.
8. Loss Prevention To assist in the development and enforcement of the highest standards of shop security for company assets, cash and stocks. To ensure that company regulations and standard procedures involving cash and stocks are being followed by all ie banking transactions, cash register control, stock take, etc. Help to ensure that that shipments are cleared on time into the warehouse and that stocks are checked, labeled, stored, and organised properly.
9. Business Administration Assist in business administration matters, including dealing with the local authorities for various matters including licenses, liasing with the company's lawyers, accountants, HR consultant, banker, printers, logistics supplier, and other business partners.
10. Communications Responsible for ensuring that communications are disseminated effectively to all members of the Retail team, other departments, Malaysia office and Asia Pacific Regional Office on a timely basis, whether via e-mail, memo, fax, sms or intranet. Assist in translation of operational and marketing materials, whether orally or in writing. Assist in customer service, should there be customer enquiries that requires communications with head office.
11. Marketing and PR Coordinate translation, development, production or importation of all in-store and out-of-store communication materials, ensuring consistency across all communication effort and in accordance to brand guidelines. Help to develop CRM programme. Assist in dealing with the press to create more awareness of the brand. Help issue press releases on products or promotions according to the promotional calendar. Handle enquiries from the press, for information or products, promptly and efficiently. Collate press cuttings in order to assess media coverage with the overall aim to maintain an upward trend in press coverage worth. Help organise company events, particularly Retail and promotional activities, such as shop openings, workshops, mall events, marketing events, values campaigns, and carry out any related duties as and when required by the management. This includes sales, merchandising and promotional work at the various venues.
12. Staffing and Leadership To provide leadership and direction to the shop's team and to maintain high standards of morale and motivation. To recruit high caliber staff as vacancies arise. To ensure that shops are adequately staffed. To ensure that HR administration work is accurate and done timely, such as calculating, recording and monitoring OT claims, sales commission, staff rota, staff annual leave.
13. Staff Learning and Development (Training & Coaching) To ensure that every floor staff of all levels is equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their goals and provide consultative based service to customers ie product knowledge, customer service standards, salesmanship and store operations. This includes giving new Managers or staff on-the-job training on operations and assisting Training Manager or Make-Up Artist (from Head Office) in translating during training sessions.
14. Miscellaneous Duties Also, periodically carry out duties to assist on the shopfloor, to gain more experience, to help during merchandising work, busy times or when staff are needed. The duties there include cashiering, housekeeping, sales, merchandising and promotion work

• Fluent in English.
• At least 2 year managing 3 retail stores (compulsory).
• Strong computer skills.
