Qualifications:
Candidates must be able to perform the responsibilities outlined in this role. The following is a guide to the type of experience we're looking for - real-world, hands-on experience matters more than formal credentials alone.
You should meet one of the following:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or
Software Engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience
OR
• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, backend development, or SQL-heavy roles
OR
• 2+ years of hands-on work with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
Technical Requirements:
• Strong in SQL and/or Python for building scalable data pipelines
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, ADF, or Databricks
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, parquet formats, and other standard formats.
• Understanding of star schema, fact/dimension modelling, and medallion architecture
• Comfortable using Git and CI/CD tools for data workflows
• Bonus: Familiar with Power BI, DAX, Purview, or Dynamics 365
