Job Summary
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of Rom Casa Hostel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, staff productivity, and operational efficiency. This position requires a leader with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain and enhance the hostel's reputation as a top destination for travelers.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services
• Ensure all guests have a positive experience, from check-in to check-out.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere aligned with the hostel's brand identity.
Operations Management
• Supervise daily operations, including housekeeping, maintenance, front desk, and F&B services.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency.
• Monitor and manage occupancy rates, ensuring maximum capacity utilization.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local government regulations.
Staff Management
• Recruit, train, and supervise hostel staff, fostering a positive work environment.
• Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to address issues, share updates, and provide training.
Financial Management
• Oversee the hostel's budget, revenue, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Manage inventory, including supplies for housekeeping and the café/bar.
• Handle payroll and maintain records of financial transactions.
Marketing & Promotion
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns that attract guests.
• Maintain the hostel's online presence through social media, OTA platforms, and reviews.
• Build partnerships with local tour operators and businesses to enhance offerings.
Facility Maintenance
• Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the hostel, including rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs and improvements.

• Minimum of 3 years in a manager role in hospitality
