ABOUT THE POSITION
The Global Engagement Specialist is an integral member of the Global Engagement Department of VinUniversity. The Global Engagement Specialist (Global Partnership) is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of VinUniversity's global academic partnerships. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining collaborations with universities and associations to advance academic engagement, student mobility, faculty collaboration, joint research, and integrated degree programs, etc. He/she will also coordinate partnership activities and contribute to VinUniversity's internationalization strategy and global reputation. The Global Engagement Specialist will report to Director of Global Engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Global Partnership Development
• Identify, develop, and strengthen strategic partnerships with partners universities and international organizations.
• Collaborate with colleges, research institutes, admissions, marketing, and other internal stakeholders to identify and facilitate partnership opportunities.
• Support negotiations and coordination of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), Student Exchange Agreements, Integrated Degree Agreements, and other partnership frameworks.
• Conduct benchmarking and market research to identify partnership opportunities aligned with VinUniversity's strategic priorities.
• Maintain regular communication with international and domestic partners to foster long-term collaboration.
• Represent the Global Engagement Department in internal and external meetings.
Partnership Management
• Serve as the primary liaison for academic partners and associations.
• Coordinate partnership activities, including exchange programs, faculty visits, research collaboration, and institutional engagement.
• Monitor partnership performance and recommend strategies to enhance collaboration.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with international partners through regular engagement and communication.
• Coordinate follow-up activities to ensure partnerships remain active and productive.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and partner institutions, associations to facilitate agreement approval and execution.
• Monitor agreement validity, renewal timelines, and implementation progress.
• Identify opportunities to deepen collaboration in student mobility, faculty exchange, research, executive education, and other strategic initiatives.
Partnership Events/Activities
• Coordinate partnership visits and meetings.
• Support planning and execution of partnership meetings, signing ceremonies, workshops, events, conferences.
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations, meeting agendas, and reports.
Marketing and Communications
• Support the development and implementation of communication initiatives, promotional content to promote global partnerships.
• Manage and update information related to global partnerships on the university website and internal platforms.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to enhance the visibility of global engagement activities.
Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain and continuously update the internal data system and partnership database.
• Develop, prepare regular reports and dashboards on collaboration activities with partner universities and associations.
• Support institutional reporting related to international partnerships, strategic initiatives, and university rankings.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of partnership records, contacts, agreements, visit history, and collaboration activities.
• Generate reports to support partnership planning and relationship management.
Other Duties
• Support university-wide engagement activities.
• Support strategic international engagement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Yêu cầu
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Education, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred though not required.
• At least 03 years working experience in international education, higher education administration, partnership management, or global engagement at an international development organization, non-profit agency, university, international education organization.
• Demonstrate experience in meeting organization, project planning, and task prioritization.
• Experience working with international universities or multicultural environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for contributing to develop a world-class education in Vietnam and have a strong commitment in managing a long-haul program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Highly developed communication skills including; well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, networking skills and coordination.
• Excellent computer literacy skills - MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Good time management skills, resilience, ability to multi-task effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Well-organized person and a team player.
• Ability to provide exemplary account management and responsiveness to a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Vietnamese.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
