About TSARSI
TSARSI is a rapidly growing preconstruction services company providing dedicated estimating, drafting, engineering, and design support to building material suppliers, lumberyards, component manufacturers, and specialty construction companies throughout the United States.
Our LBM Division partners with U.S.-based clients to provide dedicated estimating resources, helping them increase capacity, improve turnaround times, and grow without adding internal headcount. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced LBM Team Manager to lead our team, support client success, and build scalable operational processes.
Position Summary
The LBM Team Manager plays a critical leadership role within TSARSI's Lumber & Building Materials Division, with ownership of client onboarding, client communication, resource placement, workflow management, quality assurance, employee development, and customer success.
Because the role interacts directly with U.S.-based clients, success requires the ability to build trust, communicate professionally, manage expectations, and represent TSARSI with confidence in customer-facing situations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical estimating knowledge with exceptional leadership and communication skills, ensuring clients receive accurate estimates, consistent turnaround times, and an excellent overall experience while helping develop and grow TSARSI's estimating team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of estimators serving U.S.-based clients.
• Delegate workload and responsibilities effectively across the team.
• Identify employee strengths, technical abilities, communication skills, and leadership potential.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating new team members.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Develop future team leaders and subject-matter experts within the organization.
Client Onboarding & Customer Success
• Manage the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into TSARSI's service model.
• Coordinate example projects, discovery meetings, and implementation activities.
• Serve as the primary communication link between clients and internal teams.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address concerns or service issues.
• Build strong client relationships that support long-term retention and growth.
Workflow & Operations Management
• Manage daily workflow and project assignments across the LBM team.
• Monitor turnaround times, project status, and resource utilization.
• Balance workloads across team members to maximize efficiency and service quality.
• Coordinate resource placement based on client needs, employee skill sets, and team capacity.
• Develop and improve operational processes that support scalability and consistency.
Quality Assurance
• Establish and maintain a structured quality-control process for estimating deliverables.
• Review project output and provide coaching to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Track common errors and implement corrective training and process improvements.
• Develop standard operating procedures and best practices across the department.
• Ensure estimating quality meets both TSARSI standards and client expectations.
Resource & Performance Management
• Monitor employee performance and client feedback.
• Identify opportunities for additional coaching, training, and development.
• Help create career development pathways for estimators and future leaders.
Technology & Process Improvement
• Learn and support the estimating, ERP, and workflow management platforms used by TSARSI and its clients.
• Quickly adapt to new software tools and technologies.
• Assist with software implementation, training, and process optimization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements.
• Help standardize estimating processes across multiple software platforms and client environments.
Yêu cầu
Required
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• 5+ years of experience in lumber and building material estimating, takeoffs, or related construction estimating roles.
• Strong understanding of residential and light commercial construction materials and estimating practices.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and clients.
Preferred
• Experience at a lumberyard, building material supplier, truss manufacturer, component manufacturer, or estimating services company.
• Experience working directly with U.S.-based customers.
• Proven ability to lead client meetings, onboarding discussions, project reviews, and service-related conversations.
• Strong business communication skills, including professional email correspondence and virtual meetings.
• Experience with takeoff, estimating, ERP, and workflow management software.
• Experience developing training programs and quality-control processes.
• Familiarity with U.S. construction practices and terminology.
• Ability to identify talent, evaluate soft skills, and develop high-performing team members.
• Experience managing difficult conversations and resolving customer concerns professionally.
