Planning Manager

Role purpose and responsibility:
• Provide leadership in management and optimization of the supply chain planning to achieve company objectives.
• Responsible for the management of all supply chain planning activities: demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, promotion and new product launch planning for both CG and FS in Vietnam & Cambodia market.
• Operate S&OP process efficiently to support company business.
• Ensure efficient operation of the business unit demand and supply cycles, aiming for the best quality service at the lowest cost.
• Contribute to permanently improve and reinforce the planning organization (CG & FS) as well as its capability, processes, systems and procedures for the best quality service at the lowest cost.
• Accountable for the supply chain planning organization and its KPIs.
• Provide training on planning skills to improve competencies for the team members & cross functions.
Role accountabilities
Demand Forecast Planning:
• Be accountable for demand forecasts; manage monthly rolling forecast updates (in collaboration with Marketing, Consumer Good Sales, Food Service and Finance). Ensure efficient operation of the forecast planning process.
• Analyse historical data including effects of activities to develop a baseline forecast using appropriate technical forecasting models.
• Lead monthly report and analysis of demand forecast accuracy and market intelligence performance for improvement.
• Manage the NPD process (New Product Development) in term of supply chain tasks.
• Lead pre-DR and facilitate DR meetings.
• Lead initiatives to improve forecasting process.
• Support for business strategy demand planning.
Supply Planning:
• Manage the interfaces with all Fonterra supply chain teams and Regional Supply Chain organizations for supply planning, inventory planning, product delivery and new product planning follow-up.
• Manage and supervise planners (Vietnam and Cambodia) for all planning activities to make sure uninterrupted supply plan.
• Ensure FGs orders and shipments be planned at optimization level balancing between MOQ, cost and risk.
• Ensure the internal warehouse transfer of FGs is planned timely at optimization cost.
• Manage and support trade/marketing activities and promotion programme.
• Lead and guide the team on supply plan and inventory monthly analysis and report.
• Manage supply plan for constrained SKUs by providing stock plan by day, by week, by month. Co-ordinate with Sales team for air freight decision making.
• Manage the supply risks and plan for the BCP to minimize the impact to Business.
• Facilitate SR meeting.
• Lead continuous improvement for supply planning process and its KPIs.
• Be accountable for short-term and long-term strategic supply planning for Vietnam and Cambodia.
Inventory Management:
• Ensure an effective inventory and strategy management (CG & FS) to align with Business Objectives. Manage inventory modelling at optimum level by SKUs.
• Structured modelling exercise to establish inventory levels and targets based on key parameters like Cycle stock, Safety stock, Replenishment / Shipping lead times, DIFOT, DFA and CFR. Develop internal software to support for inventory optimization.
• Manage SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete); Root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions to minimize write-off cost.
• Periodic assessment of new/existing SKUs to identify candidates for standardization / improvement / removal and to maintain an optimized portfolio.
• Maintain and improve library of Information, stock reports. Measure and reports all KPIs to Regional.
SAP ANZ Management (Direct PO)
• Ensure all direct POs are input to the system with the correct quantity and timely manner.
• Ensure all direct POs are GR'ed prior the time of port arrival.
• Ensure all direct POs are closed / completed as S&OP.
• Maintain master data for all products related to CG and FS.
Business & Project Management:
• Building Business Continuity Plan for demand & supply flow.
• Define all information systems requirements and manage all master-data and SOPs for supply chain planning information systems.
• Participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the perimeter and adapt the supply chain system and resources for optimal efficiency; drive for continual improvement in terms of cost efficiency, customer satisfaction and people.
Leadership & staff management:
• Provide guidance on day-to-day activities.
• Recruit, develop & coach direct and indirect reports (Vietnam & Cambodia).
• Assess organization effectiveness / develop and provide input on development plans.
• Ensure Group & local procedures, incl. internal control & compliance-related policies are properly applied & considered in scope of responsibility.
• Manage conflict in sensible, fair and efficient manner.
• Effective communicating and negotiating with a focus on party interests.
Relationships:
• Develop & maintain good relationship with Suppliers, Consumer Good Sales, Marketing, Finance and HR teams through integrated plans that are adequately understood & supported to attain Company and Supply Chain objectives.
• Enhance good relationship and cooperative spirit within Supply Chain and planning team.
• Build & enhance good relationship across OPCOs & Regional. Cooperative and support other OPCOs if any.
